Savvy. Smart. Sexy People Invest In The Arts.

Have you ever taken a moment to really notice the homes, and work place of savvy, smart and sexy people? Seriously, yes. This may describe you too. But, I know myself that whenever I visit the home or office of savvy, smart and sexy individuals their art helps to define their persona. Just as our attire and how we wear our hair says a lot about us.

You might be one of those people who feel, and or believe that art is the last thing on your mind especially if you believe that you can't afford it. Or, that you simply don't know enough about the arts to enjoy it, let alone purchase it. Your home is where you retreat and relax. Having the kind of art that you like to look at is just as important as having that comfortable chair, or couch you love to just chill on after a stressful day.

The artist doesn't have to be well known in order for the art to have value. Unless you are in pursuit of becoming an arts collector the most important thing about owning artwork is the joy that it brings to you and your space.

As a professional practicing Visual artist, arts educator and arts promoter myself, it is a passion of mine to create and to help educate others on the significance of the arts. A few of the things that people who enjoy the arts understand is that:

- Art documents our history, as well as our present time.

- Art helps us design, develop and create our future.

- Art helps us create our own atmosphere and ambiance.

- Art is an investment, which oftentimes increases with value overtime.

- Everything we know of today, including the human race is of, or derived from some form of art.

All art isn't expensive and just because the artist may sell their work with less cost for the consumer doesn't remove the true value of the work in the present or in the future. Most artists just want the world to enjoy their work. Sure, the artist would love to be paid hundreds and thousands of dollars for our artistry. But, many of us understand that this doesn't usually happen over night. Some remove themselves from the dream of finding their success.

When you are ready to buy original art from an artist and you want to know your chances of their artwork revenue growth you might want to do a little Google research using their artistic name, but before you do that you may want to read, How to Identify The Serious Artist.

If you have an extra few minutes to spare after reading this lens, please read, How to Talk About Art, Like You Know.

There may be a bit of truth to the saying, "They love your art, until they have to pay for it." The truth is that many artists, similar with doctors, lawyers, nurses, teachers, firemen, and policmen, to name a few occupations, has to have a passion to pursue it because many do not become rich but become wealthy in the spirit of doing what they love.

There are a lot of artist who will invest in the knowledge of their chosen vocation. I am one who did just that because I needed direction on how, and of what I was doing. I had the talent, but needed to learn how to use it proficiently. I also wanted, and needed for people to take me seriously, especially since I had the desire to teach what I love and to make a living from my skills.

Over time I realized much of the obstacles and challenges within the artistic vocation, inclusive of the many myths that surrounds the arts and the artist. One of the biggest myths that yet remains as a plague towards the overall survival of the career artist is that the indulgence of the arts is for the elite and privilledged. Sad, indeed because it's simply not true. The innate premise of the arts is that it can be, and is to be enjoyed by everyone.

Funny for sure is that some people won't by artwork at any price. Some people who have the money want to spend their money, and feel like the more they spend on the piece the more value it has. You know, they identity worth by how much money they have to spend on it to have it. No judgement call here. It's your money and your taste. Do what and as you feel with it.

I strongly believe that the arts is to be enjoyed by all, is the reason why l I began to consider how I could make my creations affordable for all who would like to own a piece I produced. This is when I began to create original art-prints. My Original Art-prints are works I create using my own original drawings/paintings and, or photography. They are then incorporated, and integrated with a type of computer/digital creative software. All of my artwork viewed from my Website to live exhibitions come with a Certificate of Authenticity. My artwork is signed by hand, along with having my original hand-written signature. The Original Art-prints are numbered in order to contain a certain amount of distribution.

The image above is of my original art-prints which was created from a charcoal pencil drawing integrated with creative software. What I love most about my original art-prints is that I created them using a process that integrates creative software. This is why I refer to them as original art- prints. The image can be transferred onto just about any surface. And, I sell them at a variety of prices and printing sizes.

Original art-prints is purchase power for my patrons and potential prospects should they see something they love and want to own. Once a certain number of the original art-prints have sold the image will be removed and archieved. This means that the artwork may, or may not be up for sale again in the future. They are of Limited Editions. The idea behind doing it this way is that they are original art-works, although they are Art-prints, and I want to offer everyone something a bit different from the next that they can be proud of ownership. They are not like prints you can purchase from any furniture store, or sold by franchises that carry multiple prints of which you can just about find anywhere. In my case perhaps only 10 to 20 of the art-print image may be sold out. After the sale of the limited prints the image now is removed from page and archieved.
